Leonora Everard Haden Born in the Eastern Transvaal (Mpumalanga) in 1937, Leonora Everard Haden studied Fine Arts at the University of Natal, before travelling to Europe where she studied lithography at the Central St Martin's School of Art in London in 1960. She later returned to South Africa to teach art at St Andrew’s School for Girls in Johannesburg. In 1963 she married the widely respected artist and Fine Arts Lecturer Derek Leigh. Since then Leonora has devoted over 40 years to her profession, painting scenes in Natal and around the family home in the Eastern Transvaal. She has had four solo exhibitions and also has works in many private, public and corporate collections in South Africa, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Leonora's inspiration is drawn from the broad african landscape, as well as more intimate, interior views. She is the third generation member of the Everard Group artists.
